  • In-Person: At the nearest SASSA office, take your ID and ensure it is confirmed face to face. 
  • It is best to check about two weeks before the actual payment to give the authorities enough time to sort out any problems.

Reasons Why Beneficiaries Receive Different Amounts

Not all beneficiaries receive the same grant. There are variations because: 

  • Grant-in-Aid: Where full-time care is required, some people may be paid this extra amount. 
  • Care Dependency or War Veterans Grants: These can sometimes differ from the standard amounts because of eligibility or need requirements.
