SASSA R370 Grant September 2025 : Payment dates of R370 for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant have been confirmed by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA). This would, thereby, bring some degree of relief to the country’s millions of unemployed citizens and vulnerable households.
Since it is meant to offset the effects of unemployment and rising costs, the temporary grant could help many families to meet their basic needs in respect of food and transport.

SASSA has assured beneficiaries that all applications will be processed on Monday 22 September 2025, with payments continuing throughout the week. Beneficiaries must remember that payment is deposited into their bank accounts and is available; they do not need to rush on the first day.
A beneficiary would be able to collect from the SASSA card ATM or from SASSA partners such as Shoprite, Boxer, Checkers, Pick n Pay, or Spar.
