The Grant Paying Dates Are When For SASSA In September 2025?
SASSA has issued the grant payment schedule for September:
- Older Person Grant (Pension)-From 2nd September 2025, Tuesday.
- Disability Grant-From 3rd September 2025, Wednesday.
- Child Support Grants and other Grants-From 4th September 2025, Thursday.
This means that Parents and Caregivers will be able to Withdraw their Child Support Grade from 4 September 2025. The money that will be deposited to the beneficiaries will remain on their accounts until it is withdrawn.
Who Qualifies For The Child Support Grant?
Millions of South African children under 18 may enjoy the Child Support Grant. To be eligible, the applicant must:
- Be the primary caregiver of the child in question (parent, grandparent, or guardian).
- Be a South African citizen, or permanent resident, or a refugee.
- Meet the income threshold as prescribed by SASSA.
- Ensure that the child in question lives with him/her in South Africa.
Each child who is eligible for the grant receives R560 monthly to meet essential needs like food, clothing, and school materials.
How To Apply For Child Support Grant
Applications may be submitted at any local office of SASSA, or online where such a service is present. You must produce:
- Applicant’s ID (valid South African ID).
- Child’s birth certificate.
- Proof of income for the applicant (if employed).
- Proof of residence.
Making an application takes practically no time; you will, however, receive a very varied response. After approval, however, payments are made monthly on the specified dates.
