What Is The Foster Child Grant?
The Foster Child Grant supports foster parents or guardians in providing for children and youths that have been placed in their homes by a court order. The allowance serves in making the fundamental needs for food, clothing, school items, and medicine met so that the children in foster care get the welfare deserved.
How To Apply Online In September
For the month of September, foster parents shall complete the process completely online with no office visits included. The application procedure is as follows:
- Registering on the portal : Start by creating a secure account.
- Preparing your documents for upload : These include your ID, the birth certificate of the foster child, official court order on placement of the child in your care, and proof of residence.
- Filling in the application form with all details: You may save your progress at any point so it may be completed in a different session.
- Submit it and get a reference number : This number needs to be kept to track your application’s progress.
- Keep checking online progress : Notifications towards extra-documents requests or application approval shall be sent out.
What Happens After Submission?
Between submission and the one to few week review period, the grant is paid monthly into the merchant’s bank account, into the merchant’s Postbank card, or dispensed at select pay points. This payment is made monthly with full consistency so that foster parents need not doubt the support.
