SASSA September Grant Payment Dates 2025 : Good news for millions of South Africans. SASSA has come out with a full payment schedule for the month of September 2025, thereby confirming the grant payment dates in all the provinces.
Grants Amount For September
Here is what the beneficiaries are to expect this month:
- Old Age Grant : R2,315 (R2,335 for individuals over 75 years old).
- Disability Grant : R2,315.
- War Veterans Grant : R2,335.
- Care Dependency Grant : R2,315.
- Foster Child Grant : R1,250 per child.
- Child Support Grant : R530 per child.
These grants still form part of the major safety nets that provide the poor with assistance to cover their food, transport, fees for school, and medical expenses.
Provincial Payment Rollout
According to SASSA, payments will be staggered to maintain the smooth operation and prevent long queues. This is the order in which payments are made in the provinces:
- First in line: Older Person’s Grants.
- Second: Disability Grants are paid days afterward.
- Third: Child Support and other Grants are paid last.
Beneficiaries can collect their money by way of bank transfers, use Postbank cards to withdraw at any major retailer, or be paid at an authorized pay-point.
How Can You Check Your Grant?
There is no need to queue to know if the money has been paid. In fact, SASSA keeps it very simple for you:
- Log in to the SASSA online portal.
- Use Moya App for free updates.
- Directly check with your bank.
- Register and wait for SMS notifications.
Why This Matters
Sometimes R2,315 or R2,335 means security and dignity during retirement for pensioners. And so the child support grant helps parents with school lunches and uniforms. So to people with disabilities, the grant is what keeps them afloat during trying times. Now that the provincial schedule is known, beneficiaries can work towards collecting their money safely without having to worry about overcrowding.
